זוּחַ II, זָחַח (b. h. זחח; cmp. זוּעַ) to be unsteady, move.—Part. זָחfaint-hearted, distracted. Keth. 69ᵇ; M. Kat. 28ᵇ; Yalk. Am. 545, v. מַר II. Hif. - הֵזִיחַ or הֵזֵיחַto remove, to cause to move, to force one to yield to others’ opinions. Ḥull. 7ᵃ אין מְזִיחִין אותו (with ref. to יִזַּח, Ex. XXVIII, 28) we do not make him give up his opinion; v. זָהַהּ.—Keth. 10ᵇ מזבח מֵזִיחַ (or מֵזִיח) the altar removes (evil decrees).
