שְׁלָה (v. שָׁלֵו) 1) to hang down; denom. שִׁלְהֵי. —2) (denom. of שִׁלְהֵי) to end, complete. Targ. Is. X, 32 כד יִשְׁלֶה עלמא וכ׳ (prob. to be read: יַשְׁלֶה) when the world shall have completed its (Messianic) period; (Targ. Y. II, Ex. XII, 42 יַשְׁלִים). —3) to be at ease; v. שַׁלְהַיָּא.
