*שְׁוִיָּה, *שְׁוִיָּה, שְׁוִיָּיה f. (v. שָׁוָהPi. 2) levelling, overcoming difficulties, achievement. Tanḥ. Naso 28; ed. Bub. 32 (ref. to מצליח, Gen. XXXIX, 2) אין מצליח אלא ש׳ וכ׳ the root צלח means levelling, as we read (II Sam. XIX, 18) וצלחו וכ׳ they ‘cut through’ the Jordan.
