רזֵי (cmp. רָז) to be strong, hard; [b. h. רזהto be lean]. Af. - אַרְזֵיto come with vehemence upon, stir up, irritate. Yeb. 120ᵇ שאני מיא דמַרְזוּ מכה it is different with water (coming in contact with a wound), it irritates the wound. Pa. - רַזֵּיto throw with force.—Part. pass. מְרַזֵּי, מְרַזְּיָא. Snh. 45ᵇ כי היכא דתיתי מר׳ (Ms. M. מִירַזְּיָאIthpa., ed. Sonc. ברַזְיָא, v. next w.; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) in order that the stone may come down with force.
