*רוּנְקִין, (a corrupt. of ricinium or recinus) a rectangular piece of cloth of small size (v. Sm. Ant. s. v.). Sifré B’midbar Sinai quot. in Ar. אין הר׳ חייבין בציצית the runḳin are exempt from show-fringes (on account of their smallness).
