    Hif. - הִצְעִיד to cause to walk, direct. Ber. 29ᵇ שתוליכני לשלום ותַצְעִידֵנִי וכ׳ that thou mayest lead me in safety and direct me in safety.
    Pi. - צִיעֵד to climb. Pirké d’R. El. ch. XXXIX והיו … מְצַעֲדוֹת על וכ׳ and the Egyptian girls used to climb up the walls and throw to him (Joseph) rings &c.
