פָּנוּי, פְּנוּיָה f. (פָּנָה) 1) vacant, empty; free; superfluous. Erub. 16ᵇ ובלבד … בית סאתים פ׳ provided there is not an area of two S’ah unoccupied; expl. ib. 17ᵃ פ׳ מכלים unoccupied by travelling implements, contrad. to פ׳ מאדם superfluous as regards the number of travellers (to each of whom an area of two S’ah is assigned).
