Bath. 9ᵇ גדול העושה צדקה בס׳ וכ׳ he that dispenses charity in secret, is greater than Moses. Ḥag. 16ᵃ העובר עבירה בס׳ וכ׳ he who selects a secret place for committing a sin, is considered as though he pushed away the feet of the Divine Presence (denying the omniscience of God). Ab.
