נְקִיּוּת f. (preced.) 1) cleanliness. Yeb. 46ᵇ ודילמא נ׳ בעלמא perhaps mere cleanliness of appearance is intended? (not levitical purification). Sot. IX, 15; Y. Shek. III, end, 47ᶜ; Ab. Zar. 20ᵇ זריזות מביאה לידי נ׳ zeal leads to cleanliness, נ׳ מביאה וכ׳ cleanliness leads to levitical purity. Y. Pes.
