מִטְרְדָה, (טְרַד; cmp. Arab. mitrad, hasta brevis) the hunter’s spear. Targ. Y. II, Gen. XXXVI, 39 (play on מטרד, ib.) גברא דהוה לעי במ׳ וכ׳ (‘Rashi’ to Gen. R. s. 83 quotes: גברא טָרוֹדָא דהוה לעולם כמטרידא, read: לעי במ׳) a (busy) man, for all his life-time he worked with the hunting spear; Y. I במ׳ ובסרדיתא with hunting spear and with net; Targ. I Chr.
