*כַּרְכָּר, ch. as preced. 1. Y. Shek. IV, 48ᵇ bot. שבטא דכדכד ביניהן (Bab. ed. דכדכדא, corr. acc.) the staff of the shuttle (the cane which brings the threads of the web into their place [arundo]), is between them, i.e. there is a great difference between them (cmp. ‘stamen secernit arundo’, Ovid M. 6, 55).
