Snh. 63ᵃ נתחייבו שונאיהם … כ׳ the enemies of Israel (censorial change רשעיהם, euphem. for Israel) would have been condemned to destruction. Gen. R. s. 10 אין ויכלו … לשון כ׳ vaykhullu (Gen. II, 1) has the meaning of affliction, of diminution (ref. to the reduction of the planetary courses after Adam’s sin). Gen. R. s. 49 (expl. כלה, Gen.
