*כִּלְבִּיָּא, (an assumed word for כַּלְבָּה, after the form of לְבִיָּא) she-dog, bitch. Midr. Till. to Ps. XXXIX (in an allegorical contest of the limbs) הא לך חלב כ׳ here is dog-milk for thee, ed. Bub. כלבא; Yalk. Ps. 721 כלבתא (corr. acc.). Ib. הבאת חלב כ׳ (read with Yalk. l. c. כַּלְבָּא; ed. Bub. כלבתא) thou hast brought dog-(instead of lion-) milk. Ib. ועוד ג"כ כי לבייא קורין אותה כ׳ (differ. in Yalk.; ed. Bub. ועוד ללבייא … כלבתא) and furthermore a lioness may likewise be called a bitch.
