הוּדְרָא הוּדְרָא, (הדר) trimmed (and thin) beam for ornament, opp. כשורא a supporting joist.—Pl. הוּדְרֵי. B. Bath. 3ᵇ שרגי ליבני והדרי ה׳ וכ׳ (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) if the officers of the congregation have had the bricks (for the new Synagogue) piled up, the beams trimmed &c. Ib. 6ᵃ אהזיק להוּרְדֵּי וכ׳ if one has acquired, by the law of limitation, the right of laying beams in the neighbor’s wall, he has not the right of laying joists.
