דָּהַב, (cmp. זהב, צהב) to be red (or yellow).—Hif. הִדְהִיב to redden, make red (with anger). Lev. R. s. 15, end (play on madhebah, Is. XIV, 4) שהיא מַדְהֶבֶת וכ׳ that reddens with indignation the face of every one coming near her.
