גֵּאִים גֵּאִים, (abstract noun, v. גֵּאֶה; cmp. חַיִים) loftiness, excellence; (in a bad sense) haughtiness. Ḥull. 92ᵃ (play on ש̇ר̇י̇ג̇י̇ם̇, Gen. XL, 10) שלשה ש̇ר̇י̇ ג̇' בכל וכ׳ the three princes of excellence (influential patrons of Israel) in every generation (in Palestine under the Roman, in Babylon under the Parthian government).—Ber. 10ᵇ; Yalk.
