אָרַב, to press into holes, to make holes; to weave; join.
אָרַב, to look through a hole, to espy, lurk, lie in wait. B. Kam. 44ᵇ, a. e. (ref. to Deut. XIX, 11) וא׳ לו וכ׳ it says ‘And he lurks for him’ &c., that means the intention to kill that man.—Denom. ארובה, אורבא, ארבל׳, ארבא, ארבתא.
