*אָנַף, to swell, blow, whence, to be angry. —Pi. אִנֵּף to quarrel. Ḥull. 63ᵃ why is it called Anafah? שמְאַנֶּפֶת עם וכ׳ (not שמנאפת, v. Rashi a. l.) because it quarrels with its kindred.
