אָדָא IV, צֹדֶה; cmp. b. h. עַד prey, a. אֵיד destruction) fowler, one who puts up baits, snares &c. for other people’s doves. Snh. 25ᵃ (explain. mafriḥe yonim, Mishn.) אמר א׳—ר׳ Ms. M. a. Oxf., a. Ar. (ed. ארא; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l., a. Ar.) R—says, the Mishnah means a fowler (to be disqualified as witness &c.).
