Af. - אַצֵּיןto make cold. Y. Sabb. IV, 6ᵈ [read:] ההן חלא מרתיח רתחא ומַצֵּין צוננה sand heats a warm object buried in it, and makes a cold object colder. Ithpa. - אִצְטַןto be cold, have chills. Sabb. 129ᵃ ואִצְטַנִּיאַת (missing in Mss. M. a. O., v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. notes 80, 90) she got chills.
