טַרְפְּשָׁא, (טרף, with formative ש, as in טַרְכֵּשׁ; v. P. Sm. 1527 s. v. טרפשתא) a rag-like, irregularly shaped organ, membrane &c. Ḥull. 49ᵇ ט׳ דליבא pericardium with the fat attached to it.—Pl. טַרְפְּשִׁין shreds. Ib. 46ᵃ (in Hebr. dict.) נדלדלה כבד ומעורה בט׳ if the liver is detached and disarranged in shreds.
