א"ט, Atbaḥ, a formula of combination or interchange of two letters the numerical sum of which is either ten (e.g. א"ט = 1 + 9; ב"ח = 2 + 8) or one hundred (e.g. י"צ = 10 + 90; כ"פ = 20 + 80 = 100), whereby ה and נ, remain isolated or substitute each other. Ex. R. s. 15 (allusion to ה̇ן̇ Num. XXIII, 9).—Succ. 52ᵇ באטב"ח (של ר׳ חייא) קורין כ׳ לס̇ה̇ד̇ה̇ מ̇נ̇ו̇ן̇ in the Atbaḥ (of R. Ḥiya) sahadah finds a substitute in manon (v. Prov. XXIX, 21).
